All weekend, Christmas Ornament Painting– Ready, Paint, Fire! Is hosting a SMASHING time for Arts Weekend.  Learn the fun Art of Mosaic.  Smash some pottery, cut up stained glass and build a mirror, tabletop, sun catcher, vase or candleholder.  They’ll teach you the basics, then let you go to town with your own project. 11:00 am  and 1:30 pm, Guided Historic Walking Tour, Take a tour through Breckenridge’s Nationally Recognized Historic District with a local expert. In 1880, Breckenridge was home to two dance-halls, ten hotels, and eighteen saloons. See the buildings that housed these businesses and view the earliest homes in town, from log cabins to stately residences. Along the way, hear stories about the gold seekers, rough individuals and other hardy souls who lived in Breckenridge more than 100 years ago. Allow 90 minutes to complete the walking tour. The tour covers approximately six town blocks. Reservations are not required. Please dress for the weather! $10/Adults, $5/Children (ages 4-12)

4:00-8:00, Second Saturday Gallery Walk, Openings, featured artists and demonstrations make this a great way to see Breckenridge and of course, the art galleries.

  • Art on a Whim - DeDe LaRue will be in Art on a Whim this weekend, from Friday – Sunday. She’s made a career out of capturing the playful personalities of our four-legged friends and has received international acclaim for her Dog in a VW door sculptures. She’ll be working on a collection of miniature sculptures throughout the weekend as part of the 2nd Saturday Gallery Walk and the Breckenridge Arts Weekend!
  • Teal Art Gallery – Photography by Breckenridge local Tim Faust.  Meet the artist 4-8 and see his new modern photography collection. Great new pieces and prints for the Holiday Season

7:30 pm, Haunted Tour of Breckenridge, Join us for a late evening stroll through Breckenridge’s haunted historic district. Along the way, hear the eerie and unexplained stories from Breckenridge’s rough and uncertain past! You’ll hear all the stories that go less told, and experience Breckenridge in a whole new light. All Haunted Tours start at the Breckenridge Welcome Center. The Haunted Tour is an outdoor tour – Please dress appropriately for the weather. $15/Adults, $10/Children (ages 4-12).
